The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for all processes in the warehouse, including receiving, loading and unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, maintaining stock, and material handling. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for locating items in the warehouse for fulfillment, marking or tagging articles for identification purposes and/or preparing them for shipping
- Handle shipping and receiving of product, accurate application and recording of shipping documentation (labels, bills of lading, receivers, and delivery tickets)
- Participate in loading and unloading of product
- Assist in the quality control of items received, stored, picked, and shipped
- Operate manual and/or powered material handling equipment as required
- Participate in the inventory control operations as required (cycle & physical counts)
- Responsible for their safety and others by always adhering to safety policies and procedures
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
- Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with warehouse shipping, receiving, and inventory operations
- Experience with material handling equipment (electric pallet jack, hand trucks, manual pallet jack, order picker, reach truck, etc.)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to life heavy objects
- Frequently required to stand and/or walk, reach and/or work above your shoulder
- Ability to work several feet off the ground.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, good math skills and able to meet deadlines
- A demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment, with an emphasis on collaboration and flexibility
